Here we are at the last official weekend of Summer. As if Labor Day coming around isn’t enough, the parking fencing for the Frederick Fair has gone up – the tell-tale sign that Fall is officially here. This makes me giddy. Not because it is good for the yarn business… really it is my favorite time of the year, and if you know me at all you know Halloween is my favorite holiday. It’s the ramp up for the holidays I guess and of course the high drama weather news. As far as sweaters go, I will be ready. I finished my Sweatshirt Sweater, and can’t wait to wear it. It is a little big and the yarn color is a little off in a spot (this is MY fault… because I had the yarn planned for a different project and then changed my mind and had to add more from another lot), but I will love it because it is a sweatshirt and green after all. Mom has made a Birchbark out of Shalimar’s Paulie Worsted, and is about half way done with my Worsted Boxy. Plus, I am working on a Aeon Vest in Shalimar’s Equus (my new fav) So I am off to a good start… 🙂
As expected, the UPS man will be frequenting the shop over the next couple of weeks. Lots to come in. Stuff like 23 colors of Neighborhood Fiber Co. Worsted, Sweet Georgia, Dragonfly Fibers, Toil and Trouble, and more Western Sky Magnolia Worsted and Magnolia Fingering and I don’t even no what all but it is going to fabulous.
So in the spirit of Fall and getting ready to get ready for it, we are offering a Last Weekend of Summer Promo! Buy any 3 skeins of yarn and get a $10 off coupon for your next purchase of $50 or more. Promo starts Friday the 29th and goes through Sunday the 31st.
Happy Labor Day!
