Well Friday is here again. I think we have two weekends left before Christmas. The days are starting to run together as I/we are trying to get everything done and cross things off the list. For some reason I scheduled Dr., Dentist, and Eye Exams in December for Luc and I and one crown leads to another and everything snowballs and the next thing you know, I am trying to convince Luc that glasses are sexy and he turns 13 next week. We were both blind sided by this news today…
So as I sit here with wine and chocolate enjoying a moment of peace, I am thankful l have a nice pattern to post that requires little thought. 🙂 I finished Martina Behm’s 22 Clouds last Sunday. I used The Neighborhood Fiber Co. Loft and Rustic Fingering held together. In hindsight, I am pleased with the yarn selection and it was a satisfying quick knit.
I will not be found guilty of not sharing another quick gift knit I found last night. It was completely unexpected…which makes it even better. Kristen Finley of Skein posted this adorable hat, Aloft on Ravelry. I selfishly want to knit this one and might pick out a Magpie Fibers SwishWorsted this Saturday at the Trunk Show to do it. 🙂 I love the effect of the slip stitch technique on the stockinette background. There is both a slouchy and not so slouchy version.
So that’s it…that’s all I have tonight. Oh, one more thing, did you guys see Mom’s FB post on the 2015 Men in Knit Wear Calendar? I just saw it as I was writing this… 🙂 Little Victories…
Just Keep Knitting…
