Tonight the wind is shaking the windows and it is freezing! So as I was going thru my Ravelry searches I was looking for warmth! I found 4 nice projects. Mom says I post too many and that I am going to run out of things to post…but you never know what mood you are going to be in. These are all relatively quick projects that use worsted & bulky weight yarn. Since we have a lot of worsted on sale…and they are calling for record lows and snow (I’m not convinced yet…waiting for an update from justinweather) maybe one of these will tempt you.
The Canopy Ribbed Cowl by Craig Rosenfeid is a simple cowl that is meant to show of the yarn. I’m thinking of that pretty Sweet Georgia teal that is on the table.
Can you ever have enough mitts? These fingerless Lambing Mitts by Veronica Jobe are nothing fussy, they just look warm.
And for those of you that love cables, the Pome hat by Agata Smektala is really beautiful. I was really surprised this is a freebie!
I do want to share one more. Helen’s Basic Slippers by Helen Hezsely. These look to be quick and fun but require Bulky. I don’t know if we have any screaming pink Bulky or not… 🙂
On a housekeeping note, Mom wanted me to mention that starting March 1st, we will no longer be open on Monday’s (except for holidays) until fall. I’m glad to see that she thinks she needs at least one day off!
Stay warm!
