Is everyone tired of the snow? I think it is time we take the snowman and snowflakes out of the shop window! There is nothing but 40s and 50s on the way. 🙂
I don’t think I have posted Mira’s Cowl previously. It is by Mira Cole, owner and dyer of Baah Yarns! It is done in one skein of fingering and is very simple and elegant, but it was Espace Tricot’s version (the purple version) that made me want to share it. They held a stand of mohair/silk with the fingering for an even fancier look.
This next one Mom and I go back and forth on…Polar Opposites, by Pluck Knitter. I like it and Mom, well not so much. We have talked about doing it as a shop sample and she always talks me out of it. But since I write the blog…I can post it! I think it is the acid green in this that turns her off. Color aside, I like the concept of this. It is a simple cowl that is different because of the extreme yarn weights used. It is worked flat and then joined with a Kitchener stitch. It’s done on size 11 needles so once you pick your two colors you are practically done. I think I need this for Luc’s LAX games that are around the corner.
I am working on another Shop Update because there is more to talk about. I will try and get it out over the weekend. Everyone saw that we have Hedgehog Fibers Sock in right? It is going fast…. Oh and don’t miss the Exploration Station KAL that starts Sunday at Noon. Bring in your fingering stash yarn and we will help you pick a color or two to put with it! Again..Sunday the 8th at Noon.
I hope everyone gets out and enjoys the beautiful weekend ahead. It’s First Saturday Downtown so the streets should be hoppin.
Come on Spring!
