It is hard to believe this time last week, us Knot House Girls were unloading boxes and boxes of yarn, rearranging, and getting ready for the Pop-Up Weekend. It was all so much fun and is now a little of a blur.
I think Mom has things under control and for the most part back to normal at the shop. We were able to keep some goodies, so all of that had to be figured out.
We have some fun stuff coming up for the Metro Yarn Crawl ( June 5th – 14th). We don’t have it all figured out, but I will say this, Casapinka (you know the Looped Shawl designer) will be here the 6th and 7th doing a cardigan workshop and Veronica of YOTH will be here the later part of the next week teaching something as well. We are frantically working out the details now. IF you are interested and want to go ahead and reserve a spot for one of these events, call Cathy, aka Mom, at the shop, and we will put your name down and call you when we have all of the details.
New topic – I remember when Laura quietly commented on how we didn’t have that much DK weight yarn. Don’t get me wrong, she commented in the nicest of ways…but nobody can say that at the moment. We have lots of Lakes DK, DDW DK, Magpie DK, and some French Market DK. So be carful what you wish for.
That leads me to this weeks Free Patterns. I have a couple. I just checked the Hot Now pattern section on Ravelry, and the #1 pattern is the Celtic Myths pattern by Asita Krebs. Guess what weight it uses…yup, DK. I had put in my favs a few days ago for safe keeping, and then just now I looked and Bam! It was meant to be.
I don’t know how I found this next one, but I did. It is an older Heidi Kirrmaier summer top called Vesper, and it also calls for DK weight. Just check out that little cute pocket. If only my legs looked like that. 🙂
Ok, my work here is done. I might even get a few stitches in tonight!
