I love an EVENT. Something to shake things up and get me out of a rut is always welcome.
Although the experts are still holding back on predictions, it looks like we are in for a shoveling and snowball opportunity if nothing else. Maybe even a big one like 2010/2011. But I am going to miss it. Yup, I can’t believe it. I leave Thursday to go see Baby Ila in AZ and it looks like I will get out just in time. I am still in preparation mode though. Mom and Luc will be here and I have stocked up on the necessitates.
Tomorrow I will pick out my new knitting projects to take with me, like you all will be figuring out what to knit during the storm.
I thought I would just put a couple of free hats and gloves up. That’s one of the fun things about snow right? Hats and Gloves are needed for sure.
So here is what I picked just to make it easy for you.
Tin Can Knits Barley Hat and Maize Mittens/Fingerless Gloves. We all know these and both are easy quick knits using Worsted Weight.
I have also been looking at the Mira’s Cowl lately. The yarn options are endless because gauge isn’t really important. But I have been thinking the Lux Adorna Knits aka Pepperberry (name change) would be fantastic. 2 skeins should do it. Or the Field Broken Rib is a good one too.
I could go on and on but I have to get going. Feel free to look at our favorites here.
We will be open Friday but may close a little early if it gets too bad. Saturday??? We will post on FB.
Be Safe, and have FITF (faith in the flakes)
