This morning I sat with my coffee and pulled up Ravelry. I told Mom last night that I have been out of the loop all week and hadn’t looked at much knitting related. 🙁 I pull up the hot right now list and I see a fire emoji on the Hot Right Now drop down. I don’t know when this happened, but it was a nice little surprise. LOL
I found a couple more surprises. Sylvia Bo Bilvia, designer of the Lonely Tree Shawl, and the recent Waiting for Rain, has a new FREE pattern, A Certain Darkness. It takes 2 skeins of fingering, so it is doable. (even if you are like me).
If you are tired of shawls, and are up for a very wearable cardigan, I see that Amy Christoffers just out with Bly. It calls for a worsted cotton…but that will stretch out, so I would use a DK and get to gauge. I don’t care this color choice of course, because it must be blue, green, or purple as most of you know. But I do like it simplicity and the split hem. Sorry Mom, no cables in this one…
For Shop Surprises, we have some things up our sleeve. New yarns will start coming in this week, and we will soon have all the balls in the air juggling the 2016 MDSW Knot House Pop-Up. We are looking into some new lines to bring in too.
Hope to see you soon. Hopefully this snow thing will be a non-event.
