Happy Friday. It seems like weeks since I have blogged. I have been doing a little knitting, working on a new Shop Sample. We kept some of the Spincycle Clementine Cowl Kits so I started one, and I’m about 2/3’s done. It is so fun to see the color combos change.
I have a lot to cover, so I have to get right to the knitty gritty.
New Sunday KAL starting 5/22 from 2-4PM! Mom is leading the group and knitting the Spark of Grey Shawl by Melanie Berg. Mom overheard Kate Burge (Spincycle Spinster) mention that she was going to knit this up with their Dyed in the Wool and YOTH Little Brother. So now Mom and Kate are working on it together but Kate is doing the light and dark reversed. Mom started hers today and says the pattern is fun and different. They are both posting pictures on IG of their progress.
Signature Needle Trunk Show from 5/20 thru 6/5 – Signature Needles are the Mercedes of needles, or so Mom says. The founder, both a knitter and President of a precision machine shop, wanted a sharper knitting needle. So she took matters into her own hands, and the machine shop started making needles. Mom bought herself some at Stitches West, and decided we should bring them in for all of our diehard knitters. So come check them out. We have both the circulars and the double points.
Knitting on the Creek on Thursday Mornings 9am to 11am. Starts next Thursday, May 26th. The Downtown Partnership has given us the tent on The Creek, so all of you early birds that want to grab some coffee and come out and knit with Mom and Betsy, they will be there every other Thursday before the shop opens…weather permitting.
It seems like there is another event I am supposed to share but I can’t think of it right now.
I did see this cute hat that only takes one skein of worsted, The Favorite Knit Slouchy by Jamie Sandie. If nothing else, put it in your favs.
Alright, see you soon!
