Have you started knitting gifts for your knit worthy friends and loved ones? I have, and I’m not doing too well (no surprise). I only have one item complete with 3 others in progress. The good news is that I am knitting for little people so most of my list should go fast.
To assist with your gift knitting, we thought we would offer another Open Knit. So on Sundays from 2pm till 5pm from now thru the holidays you can come and sit and knit or crochet on whatever you want. If you are a newer knitter and want some help on a hat or gloves Mom and I will help. I will miss these first 2 Sundays due to beloved Lacrosse, but I have promised Mom I will be there otherwise. It also might be tricky with Trunk Shows going on… but I think we can manage. We will have tea, coffee, and cookies to help us get in the spirit. Maybe I can get Mom to put Christmas music on (ok not this weekend.)
Here are a couple of ideas. I am almost done with these mitts. I used Tundra but you could use any Bulky or Aran weight. These are really quick which is a bonus. The FREE pattern is Basic Mittens by Mona Schmidt.
Another quick knit is the Cecelia Cowl by Looped London. I used one ball of Freia Bulky and the pattern is FREE.
So get your list ready and come join us Sundays at 2pm.
Also don’t forget the SWIFT Trunk Show is this weekend. We can not wait to see Carol’s pretty yarns. She will also have a give away. For every $100 you spend on Swift Yarns, you enter your name in a drawing to win this.
See you this weekend!
