As usual, I have waiting too long to post and now have to try to fit it all in. Before I ramble about what’s new or what I’m are working on, I need to let everyone know that our yearly SAMPLE SALE is going on now! We started this last year and it worked out great for those people looking for last min. handmade gifts. It was hard to get a good picture of all of them…but I thought I could live with this shot of a few.
Here we are a week before Christmas, and I still have 1, 2, 3 maybe 4 gifts to finish or start. For some reason I decided to take a challenge and learn double knitting to make a Spider-Man hat for my 3 year old grandson. This is what happens when Dami is in the shop and you are looking at patterns together…then all of a sudden you have super powers and can do anything. Now a week later, I just finished the ribbing at the bottom.. and as I sat there last night struggling, because it is a poorly written pattern, I kept thinking why am I doing this? Wyatt won’t even appreciate it. But, then I reminded myself that is not why I do it…
If you haven’t been in, or have come in for the numerous Trunk Shows (thank you by the way) you might not have noticed that we are restocked on magpie fibers, Shalimar Breathless and Shalimar Aerie. We also brought in Manos Alegria, a merino and nylon fingering weight yarn. We think this is a great new addition.
We have lots of quick one skein samples in the shop. The latest one I did in Knit Fast Die Young which is a Bulky so it only took about 3 hours to do. Pattern is the small Royal Mile Cowl by Dami Hunter. You may have seen it, sorry if this is old news..
I could go on about the other things I want to knit, or plan on knitting, but for now, I have to focus and get it done.
See you soon!
