This week Charissa brought in a summer shawl she had been knitting for us. It is Sonnensegel by Ulrike Altrogge and it is a FREE pattern. She used Julie Asselin’s Fino and Anatolia (silk and mohair) just one skein each. It is a simple garter and stockinette and the result is so light and pretty.
Don’t forget that the Alicia Plummer’s Broken Path MKAL starts Sunday, April 30th from 2pm to 4pm. Alicia posted in our Ravelry group thread and said that she will be checking in and keeping in touch with us… so don’t forget to check out the MKAL thread and post your progress.
We are on the down hill to the big Pop-Up Shop weekend. Mom and I are anxious as usual. She keeps asking me what we are going to do with this and that as if I am the keeper of all things. Don’t be surprised if you come in this week and things are all moved around or some of the walls look empty, we are just making room. We really don’t know where it is all going to go…but then we never do and somehow it all works.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention some of the special things I know about that are going to be at the Pop-Up. I don’t know everyone’s plans, but here are a few that I have heard about.
- Duck Duck Wool – Will have kits for the Joji MKAL coming up.
- Swift Yarns – Will be bringing some kits for Andrea Mowry’s So Faded Sweater (I think)
- Magpie Fibers – Will be bringing her new Girls Road Trip Collection for her new Solstice base.
- Mediaperuana is letting us borrow her new Abeja Shawl which she designed in Skeinny Dipping’s Single fingering base.
- Special Event Colorways
- Special Event Bag $20
