Hi Everyone!
I thought I would take a few minutes tonight and blog, old-style. Remember when I would blog about free patterns and what talk about random stuff going on at the shop? Well that’s what I mean.
Mom is getting ready for the big trip to Edinburgh. I can’t go this year, and now that it is just around the corner, I really wish I were going. Instead, I will be going to a family wedding in Florida. Which is still good, but definitely not the same. But I will get some knitting time. And, much to my surprise I am actually making some progress on my Sunset Highway sleeves, so I can cast on something new!
I was thinking the other day that I really haven’t been on Ravelry that much lately. With Instagram we follow our favorite designers, and learn about the latest and greatest patterns there. But I don’t really want a big sweater project, so I got on Ravelry and started searching. Nothing really jumped out at me. Then I started looking for cowls. The first thing that jumped out at me was the FREE Very Gifted Cowl pattern by Churchmouse Yarns. It’s nothing fancy, but it sure does look nice. And it’s probably something I can finish over a long weekend. They knitted with worsted mohair blend. The options are endless. Sold or Multi.. Color or Neutral. DK with mohair or Worsted. We happen to be getting in some new Julie Asselin Leizu DK, and we have some great worsted too! All I have to do is make a decision.
I think I am going to leave it at that.
Next up, a blog about the Early Bird MDSW Pop-Up Tickets.
