Join us as we welcome Caroln Bloom as she shares her tips and tricks for embroidering the sashiko hitomezashi (persimmon stitch) onto your knitted swatch. In adddition she’ll be sharing information on yarn choices, gauge, drape, color possibilities and how to incorporate the technique into your garments and accessories.
• Device with internet connection and Zoom app
• Approximately 25 grams of DK weight yarn in a light colour and with a high twist
• 4mm (US 6) needles OR needle to get a gauge of 5.5 stitches and 6.5 rows/inch.
• Approximately 10 grams of high twist contrast yarn for embroidery
• Darning needle
• Removable stitch markers
